A device link channel allows to convert files from various colorspaces into a single output colorspace using Device Link profiles. Using the embedded / assumed icc profiles of the original images and the selected output colorspace, Device Link profiles are generated on the fly and then used for the conversion. Therefore, in input conversion and output conversion settings of this channel type, select normal ICC profiles, not Device Link profiles. Since INPUT, INPUT CONVERSION, OUTPUT CONVERSION and OUTPUT settings are similar to those of a processing channel, we will discuss here only the settings that are specific to the Device Link channel.
Preserve K channel on CMYK > CMYK transforms
On conversion from one cmyk colorspace to another, don’t change the K (black) channel.
Maximum ink coverage (CMYK only)
On conversion to a CMYK colorspace, overwrite (typically limit) the maximum amount of ink used.
