Pixometry is capable of processing Camera raw files.
Pixometry image analysis and enhancement is done in RGB. So RAW files need to be developed into RGB files. Pixometry uses Nikon and Canon SDK’s on Windows and MacOS platforms. This means that if Pixometry is installed on Windows or Mac OS X, Canon and Nikon RAW files will be converted using their manufacturers technology. In all other cases, Claro uses the UFRAW library, which in turn uses DCRAW. These are open source raw converters.
The RAW conversion is done with a more or less default conversion curves and options. Since Pixometry analysis kicks in only after conversion to RGB, we cannot choose RAW conversion options dynamically.
